Location
Ca’ Valeri is located in the heart of the historic center of Venice, only a few dozen meters from Riva degli Schiavoni and from the Public Gardens in the Sestiere di Castello which more than any other district has retained a Venetian authenticity where local sounds and traditions still thrive. This enviable location allows its guests to delight in the masterpieces and wonders of St. Mark's Square, only a 5 minute walk away, and yet enjoy calm and tranquility.
The hotel is only a few minute's walk from a few of the jewels of the City of the Doges: the San Giorgio dei Greci church, a treasure box of orthodox art and culture in Venice; San Giorgio degli Schiavoni with its painting cycle by Carpaccio; San Giovanni in Bragora, a small gothic church, where Antonio Vivaldi was baptized.
Another feature of the Ca' Valeri is its proximity to the Arsenale where the Serenissima Venetian Republic built and housed its famous naval fleet.
The Teatro alle Tese and the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale were created by converting some of the Arsenal’s buildings which, in addition to the Corderie, are among the most important and mesmerizing venues for artistic and musical events during the Venice Biennale.
Arriving by Plane
The Marco Polo international airport is at Tessera within the Venetian mainland. Ca’ Vleri may be reached by a water taxi boat, or eventually the shuttle boat at the airport, with approximately 55 minutes ride will enable you to reach us. The shuttle stops at Arsenale, , which is only one bridge and two minutes walking from the hotel.
After stopping at Arsenale, walk to your left , cross the bridge “Ca’ di Dio” and turn right into Calle della Pescheria. Keep walking and at the end of the street turn first on your right (Calle della Pestrin) and then on the left (Ramo dei Corazzieri). Ca’ Valeri is right there, the civic number is 3845!
Arriving by Train
The Santa Lucia train station is situated just about two kilometers from Ca’ Valeri. The hotel may be reached either by a private water taxi motorboat or by public vaporetto.
From the Railway station take n. 41 or 1 and stop at Arsenale, which is only one bridge and two minutes walking from the hotel.
After stopping at Arsenale, walk to your left , cross the bridge “Ca’ di Dio” and turn right into Calle della Pescheria. Keep walking and at the end of the street turn first on your right (Calle della Pestrin) and then on the left (Ramo dei Corazzieri). Ca’ Valeri is right there, the civic number is 3845!
Arriving by Car
One of the two covered parking lots in Venice is on the Tronchetto Island. Right at the end of Ponte della Libertà, the bridge that connects Venice to the mainland, at the stoplight take a right turn and follow the indications for Tronchetto. The Hôtel is approximately two kilometers away and may be reached by a taxi motorboat, or eventually the public vaporetto.
The other parking lot, Garage San Marco, is in Piazzale Roma. Instead of turning right at the stoplight, stay on the road and continue straight.
It is suggested that you take a private taxi boat, or the public vaporetto. The stop is Arsenale, which is only one bridge and two minutes walking from the hotel.
